Studio Roderick Vos

Roderick and Claire Vos are both graduated in 1990 from the Academy of Industrial Design at Eindhoven's "Design Academy".

Being partly Asian himself, his working experience in Tokyo during 1987, as a trainee, evidently had a large impact on Roderick's personal interest in Asian Culture and his style in design. Production of textiles and ceramics has been in Claire Vos's family for generations. As a textile designer, Claire Vos specializes in re-interpreting traditional techniques, colorings and forms, paying close attention to the quality of the materials she uses.

In 1999 Claire & Roderick Vos officially started their design office ‘Studio Roderick Vos’, based in Heusden Vesting, the Netherlands. This innovative studio works mainly in lighting, textile, accessories and furniture design and has been cooperating with international brands such as Driade, Moooi, Linteloo & Cor Unum.

Since 2016 they both became art directors for Dutch furniture brand PODE. Each of their products is characterized by careful research and passion for technology, material and color.
